Introduction

The DataFusr GEO-client is the connection to DataFusr for the geotechnical discipline. It is currently available as a python package that is built around two main concepts:

• Domain specific automation
• Data exchange

The domain automation allows geo engineers to set up models in a parametric way. Connectors for D-Foundations and Plaxis are continuously developed. There are ways to create and modify soil materials, reading data from Open Ground and Mondriaan.

Currently the geopackge has the following connectors:

Data exchange is all about collaboration. Sending and receiving geotechnical models through Speckle means project data can be quickly shared between colleagues. It is also possible to directly connect to a model from the structural engineers, through the DataFusr FEM-client connection. Project parameters can be managed in DataFusr Origin, and directly used in your model.

D-Foundations

The Geo package is a wrapper surrounding geolib. Currently we can generate calculations based on CPTs which have been classified in Moondriaan and uploaded into Open Ground. Furthermore we can communicate with Speckle streams to import piles. Right now only bearing piles are supported.

Plaxis

For Plaxis we can send and receive geometry data to and from a speckle stream. These functionalities can be ran from inside Plaxis using the Plaxis API. Currently under development is the importing and exporting of material datasets.

For Plaxis the connection is currently under development.

Soil Parameters

The rhdhv_geo package also provides functions to handle soil parameters. A limited set of standardized materials from the Eurocode is available for direct use for D-Foundations.

Origin

Using Origin we can control our parameters in a structured way.
