The DEO team researches tools and technologies available in the industry to perform design exploration and optimisation. This can be performed for almost any design problem and for any discipline, and it can also be multi-disciplinary.

Case Studies

Case Study #1: Data Cables

Goal:

Optimise telecommunication room (TR) placement in a floor plan to minimise the total length of all data cables going from the TRs to all the rooms.

Case Study #2: Parking

Goal:

Optimise the parking lot orientation as well as parking spots angles and widths to fit as many spots as possible inside of any given boundary.
